Post a sublease

Built around your housing search

From a group post to a more organized search.

Housing groups can be a useful place to find a lead. Seblea brings dedicated housing and roommate tools into the steps that follow.

Finding a place
A housing group postSearch posts and read the details each person chooses to share.
With SebleaBrowse rentals and subleases with housing filters and structured listing details.
Finding your people
A housing group postGet to know potential roommates through introductions and conversations.
With SebleaCompare lifestyle preferences, with compatibility scores when questionnaire data is available.
Starting a conversation
A housing group postContact the poster using the group's available messaging tools and rules.
With SebleaIdentity verification is required to start conversations and send messages.
Seeing the place
A housing group postWork out a viewing with the poster through replies or messages.
With SebleaRequest a viewing from posted time slots on eligible listings, when the poster offers them.

This compares a group-post workflow, not every feature of every app. Group tools and moderation vary. Verification does not guarantee reliability; confirm rental pricing and availability directly with the property.

Why we built Seblea

Built from a problem we knew firsthand.

“Signing leases blind and hoping for the best.”

We have moved through uncertain leases, roommate decisions, and rushed sublease searches ourselves. Seblea exists to make the next move feel more considered.

Know what to check before you pay.

Seblea gives you a clearer place to start. It does not replace seeing a place, reading the lease, or confirming who you are dealing with.

Verification and privacy

  • Contact details and messaging unlock after identity verification.
  • Public browsing and verified access show different levels of detail.
  • Verification is a starting point, not a guarantee about a person or property.

FTC analysis found reported rental scams often use copied or invented listings to collect money or sensitive information before a renter can verify the property. Read the FTC's guidance before sharing sensitive information or paying a deposit. Source: Federal Trade Commission

A little clarity

Got questions?

What do the housing prices include?

Prices reflect the information listed for a property or sublease. Pricing basis, utilities, deposits, and fees can vary. Confirm the current amount and what it covers with the property or person posting before making a decision.

Can I use Seblea if I’m not a student?

You can explore public housing information and sign up with your email. Identity verification offers a government ID option as well as a .edu email option. Some listings and profiles are student-only, so access still depends on your account and the listing’s eligibility rules.

How does verification work?

Confirming your sign-up email and verifying your identity are separate steps. Identity verification uses a .edu email or government ID, and is required for posting, messaging, and matching. Verification does not guarantee a person’s reliability or a property’s condition.

What can other visitors see?

Public browsing shows limited housing and roommate information. More detailed access depends on verification, visibility settings, and eligibility. Be thoughtful about what you include in your profile, photos, and conversations.

Are rental units guaranteed to be available?

No. Seblea presents rental information and does not manage a property’s current availability. Confirm available units, pricing, and terms directly with the property. A rental information page does not imply a partnership with Seblea. Sublease posts are separate offers from the people posting them.

How does roommate matching work?

Matching compares lifestyle preferences such as sleep schedule, cleanliness, noise, and budget. Use those preferences as a starting point for a conversation; they cannot guarantee how well you will live together.
